Existing Fencing Conversion System

Regular price £198.97

The Existing Fence Conversion System's revolutionary and patented Cat-Proofer™ extensions makes it easy and affordable to convert most 1.5m (5 ft) or taller fences (or walls) into a cat-proof barrier.

Our patented system works by forcing your cat(s) to climb up the fence which activates the spring-loaded arm from the bottom if they are able to reach the top (most are not.) If they reach the tip of the extension, the spring will activate and begin to collapse the outer most part of the arm, imitating the feeling of falling for the cat, triggering the cat's natural instinct to let go and land safely on their feet on the ground.

Purrfect Fence Cat Fence

The pivoting fence extensions are attached near the top of the inside of your fence and the high strength mesh material is stretched between them attaching with the included zip ties. Simply secure the lower portion of the mesh material to your fence or wall and your cat-proof barrier is complete. It is important to mount the system high enough so that your cat is forced to climb and cannot simply leap on top or over it.

The system will adjust to fit just about every gate and corner situation making it very versatile. It can also work in conjunction with our Freestanding fencing system when needed.

The system is built to last. All arms are galvanised steel with a black powder coat finish, the arm hardware and springs are stainless steel and the fence material is UV stabilised with carbon black and additional chemical UV inhibitors. We are available to help you figure out how to use our systems on your property and can also talk/email you through almost any unforeseen obstacles you may run into during installation, Contact Us.

Installation

Our patented system works by forcing your cat(s) to climb up the fence which activates the spring-loaded arm from the bottom if they are able to reach the top (most are not.) So,  for maximum effectiveness, it is important that the finished height of your Purrfect Fence be tall enough so your cat cannot simply leap over it. For most domestic cats the minimum height we recommend is 182cm, though we prefer it to be taller when possible. Even so, we have had customers tell us it was effective for their cat(s) at shorter heights. However, higher is always better and may be necessary if your particular cat or cat breed is capable of leaping higher than the average healthy moggy (domestic shorthair) cat. If you have questions regarding this please contact us.
