Product Description
Contain Even the Most Persistent & Agile Dogs
Our Dog Containment System is a fence extender designed to prevent dogs from jumping or climbing over existing fences that are 4 feet or taller. The key feature is the unique, patented design of the fence extender arms.
These dog fence toppers increase the height of your fence by an additional two feet. The curved top creates an arch that stops your dog’s forward momentum, effectively preventing them from jumping or climbing over the fence.
Works with Almost Any Fence Type
The curved extension arms are versatile and can be attached to most types of fences and walls, including wood, chain link, wire-backed split rail, decorative aluminum/wrought iron, PVC/vinyl, and masonry walls.
Durable and Built to Last
Each fence topper is constructed from 1 ⅜” diameter, 16-gauge galvanized steel tubing. The arm extends 20 inches over the fence and can raise the fence height by up to two feet. The arms feature thick, welded steel mounting plates, and the entire unit is finished with a UV-stable black powder coating for durability.
Mesh Fencing Options
Choose between Durable Poly Fencing or an upgrade to black vinyl-coated Heavy-Duty Welded Wire.
- Durable Poly Mesh: Made from strong polypropylene plastic with UV inhibitors, this option is suitable for dogs that may jump into the fence but not for those that claw or bite at it. It’s lightweight, flexible, and easy to install, making it a cost-effective choice.
- Heavy-Duty Welded Wire: Ideal for dogs that test fences with claws or teeth, this more rigid, durable option is made from black vinyl-coated galvanized steel. While it's heavier and harder to install than poly mesh, it's designed for dogs that repeatedly challenge the fence.
Keep Your Dog Safe
When installed correctly, our Houdini-Proof system prevents 99% of escapes. With a proprietary design and a 3-year warranty, you can trust us to help keep your dog safe and secure.
Kit Contents
We offer kits in multiple sizes, from 50 feet to 300 feet (15 meters to 90 meters). Each kit includes curved fence extensions, your choice of mesh fencing, UV-rated zip ties, and installation instructions.
Fasteners are not included due to the wide variety of fence types. Check our installation guide for advice on choosing the right fastener.

Helpful Information on the Curved Dog Arm Fence Extension System
Chain Link Fences:
You will need (2) U-Bolts of the appropriate size to secure each Houdini-Proof arm to a round chain link post. We sell U-Bolts in sets of (2), so one set of U-Bolts is what you need to secure one arm when installing your fence extender for dogs.
It can be difficult to measure the diameter of round chain-link posts due to post caps and top rails blocking access to the top edge of posts. Use a soft tape measure like the measuring tapes used for sewing to measure the circumference of the post.
- A circumference of about 5 1/4" = 1 5/8" post;
- A circumference of about 6" = 2" post;
- A circumference of about 7 5/16" = 2 1/2" post.
- Usually, chain link fence toppers for dogs have bigger posts at corners, endpoints, and gates.
- The gate tubes are usually a smaller (1 3/8" diameter) tube. Use a 1 5/8" U-Bolt to a gate tube.
Decorative Aluminum/Steel and Wrought Iron Fences:
- When installing your fence extender for dogs, use square U-Bolts to secure the arms to the posts.
- We sell the most common size of 2" square U-Bolts. Check your post size.
- You can also use self-drilling/tapping screws or drill and use bolts. You will likely need to use self-drilling/tapping screws or bolts at gates while installing your fence extension kit.
Chain Link & Metal Fence Gates
- If you’re installing a fence extension kit to a fence with a single door gate that will open inwards, you will need one arm on both the gate hinge and latch-to posts and an arm on the gate on the latch side.
- A double door gate opening in would require that both gates have an arm where the gates meet. For outward opening gates, you need one on each gate post and one on each side of the gate. The arms on the gate need to be set higher so that when the gate opens, the arms on the gate can pass over the arms on the posts.
Wood Fences:
- Where possible, attach the arms of your fence topper for dogs to the posts with outdoor wood screws or lags.
- At corners, you may need our Corner Adaptor Kit (must special order from USA factory) as the corner arm needs to point at a 45-degree angle.
- Outward opening gates require an arm on both sides of the gate, and those arms need to be higher than the arms on the gate posts so the arms on the gate can swing over the arms on the posts.
- Inward opening gates require an arm on the gate posts and an arm on the gate on the latch side.
- Use fence installation tools to cut the fence between the arm on the latch post and the gate’s latch side, and the gate will open.
Masonry Walls:
Secure the arms to the wall with masonry fasteners. You’ll need four per arm to install your fence extender for dogs. The head of the masonry screw must be large enough to catch against the 3/8" (9.5mm) opening. Use fender washers if needed.
